Samsung will make a Fortnite metaverse island announcement next week
Samsung is a big proponent of the Metaverse idea. Samsung stated at Galaxy Unpacked 2022 that it will soon launch its own island in the Fortnite Metaverse after releasing virtual worlds in Decentraland, ZEPETO, and Roblox earlier this year.
Samsung’s “Smart City” Fortnite metaverse island honors the launch of the brand’s most recent foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Galaxy Z Flip 4. Players of Fortnite who go to Samsung’s island can experience and work with Samsung goods virtually.
The Smart City is “not only about entertainment, but more importantly about discovering and forming relationships,” according to Samsung Latin America.
It contains gameplay components and Easter egg searches for in-game treasure in either case.
The search for fresh game loot will start next week.
Structures in the explorable virtual environment include bridges, skyscrapers, and spotlights that resemble Samsung’s latest foldable phones and The Freestyle projector. On August 18, Smart City will debut in the Fortnite Metaverse.
The Z Series Fun Game Quest will include Samsung’s Smart City in the Fortnite Metaverse as a playable component. To unlock the new Galaxy Z Fold 4 in-game item, the game pushes users to play hide-and-seek games. Players can activate features like Nightography, which enhances their night vision in the game world, as long as they have the Z Fold 4 in their possession.
The brighter and better sensors, better night photography, and many other fantastic new features and updates, as well as the larger batteries and improved build quality, are all promised by Samsung’s upcoming foldable phones. With beginning prices of $999 and $1,799, the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 are also available for pre-order in most markets.
At Unpacked 2022, Samsung unveiled two new Galaxy Watch 5 smartwatches, including a Pro variant with a battery large enough to last up to 80 hours on a full charge. They also unveiled a new pair of wireless headphones with cutting-edge Intelligent ANC.
