The Ghosts Metaverse is available in Decentraland
CBS is the first American network to enter Decentraland, which is another positive development for the metaverse’s uptake. The announcement will undoubtedly accelerate Web3 adoption globally and attract large media brands.
Fans of the popular CBS comedy series Ghosts can now explore the Woodstone Mansion in a metaverse in Decentraland. According to CBS Studios, this is a fresh and enjoyable way for viewers to engage with the show’s eerie estate, Woodstone.
The second season of CBS’s co-production with Lionsgate TV and BBC Studios will feature a metaverse experience as part of its marketing strategy. Beginning in the end of July, a brand-new season of the popular CBS comedy will air.
The spooky Woodstone estate from the TV program is recreated in the Ghosts video game. The entering gateway in Decentraland is where you should go to start your immersive adventure.
The haunted mansion was an exact duplicate of the show’s set.
CBS’s Chief Marketing Officer, Mike Benson, gave an explanation of their decision to use Ghosts as their entry point into the Metaverse.
According to him, popular series “Ghosts,” with its sizable fan base, diverse cast of otherworldly characters, and vast environment, seemed like a natural fit for the Metaverse. They are constantly exploring for inventive methods to further build new audiences for CBS content.
The metaverse of CBS’ Ghosts is another example of well-known companies recognizing and embracing the advancement of Web3 technology.
